As an engineering firm, the scale of our projects can be both large and small and often the items we produce, help support what is going on behind the scenes, holding things together.

We have done a number of jobs at KCOM Stadium in Hull, our most recent job was to fabricate, paint and install 30 meters of steel to support the lighting on the commentary box. This was a short deadline of just 10 days to deliver but we pulled out all the stops to make sure they had it ready for match day.

Whilst undertaking this work, we met with Barry Roberts from ADI.TV, the Senior Project Manger for the company which creates unique and innovative solutions to help the world’s biggest brands and broadcasters do amazing things with their content and connect with the audience at music and sports events worldwide.

ADI.TV combines cutting edge broadcast material, networks and production designs with giant display technologies, so sport and music fans get a perfect view of the action and businesses have great promotional opportunities with crowd facing LED panels.

At KCOM Stadium, Barry and his team were struggling as the unistrut installers had not adhered to the specification, sitting the LED system in the wrong place. But being in the right place at the right time, Stead Engineering were asked to help and produced new brackets and mounting plates to enable ADI.TV to continue with their installation.

Successful completion of the brackets and mounting plates led to further works at Sheffield United, Derby County FC, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City, where we also created brackets for the large format TV screens.

This has been a great job for Stead Engineering and our team are proud to be involved with such prestigious sports projects that make the overall experience for fans so much more enjoyable.
