Nicole McKee recently joined Stead Engineering as our Operations Support Administrator and has previously worked in various administration based roles, including finance and human resources.
Nicole completed her NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration earlier this year.
The engineering industry is working hard to encourage young women to choose STEM subjects as a great career choice, but for the time being, Nicole is the only female working at Stead Engineering, although she says that as the only female in her last role, she is used to it and everyone has been very helpful since joining the team.
We asked Nicole to tell us a bit about herself.
Do you have any interesting hobbies? - I have recently started to learn Thai boxing.!
Name something you like about Hull - I think we have some great local businesses.
Have you enjoyed City of Culture and have you been to anything interesting? - Yes, I think it’s been great for the city. I’ve been to a few events such as the Folk Festival and the David Bowie tribute concert at Hull City Hall.
