We are pleased to announce that Stead Engineering has achieved SafeContractor Status, as awarded by Alcumus SafeContractor.
The SafeContractor scheme is a Health and Safety audit service to provide reassurance to clients that Health and Safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently whilst working on their sites.
Organisations that sign up to the scheme can vet contractors prior to them visiting a site, streamlining the procurement process for both parties.
Always seeking to improve the service we offer, it has been important for Stead Engineering to undertake the accreditation to simplify the procurement process, especially when dealing with larger companies.
Nathan Stead, Managing Director of Stead Engineering says:
“As a business we are winning major contracts with large companies in food manufacturing, recycling and a wide range of other sectors. These types of businesses cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are unable to provide proof of their safe working practices. The SafeContractor accreditation process uses stringent evaluation techniques to examine our procedures and also give information about our track record.”
“Up-to-date information about our business is held on the SafeContractor database so that potential clients can find our service and have the confidence to know that our team is qualified and fully accredited.”
“The SafeContractor status signifies a major step change for our company as we are now working with organisations nationwide to deliver engineering services in fabrication, the design, manufacture and installation of conveyors, both specialist and standard fencing and a variety of other products and services.”
