The Humber Enterprise Park (HEP), home to the site’s flagship tenant, BAE Systems, was bought in 2015 by consortium LC Industrial with developers Citivale and Lumina Real Estate Capital. The partnership made a significant investment to improve the buildings on its vast site.

Following the re-development scheme, HEP is now a high-tech hub featuring offices and factories for a variety of local businesses that have been able to expand their operations in a fantastic location just outside of Hull. Each of the newly refurbished buildings are named after the aircraft that were famously built at the site over the last one hundred years.

Stead Engineering were pleased to be contracted to design, manufacture and install a CAT Access Ladder at this prestigious site. Recent projects at HEP have resulted in the need for a faster more cost effective way to access the flat roofs and make use of the person harness safety systems.

Peter Melling, site manager at Humber Enterprise Park says:

“The team at Stead Engineering offered a friendly and professional service from inception of the process through to delivery and hand-over and, the Company has also undertaken similar works for our tenant, BAE Systems. We are all very impressed with the finished product.”

“I have worked with Stead on a number of projects and each time have found their installation team to be very knowledgable, following safe working practices and to be professional in their approach.”
