As a fellow member of BNI Kingstown Bevan, Jadan Press is a fantastic lithographic and digital printing firm based in Hull. Due to expansion, the Managing Director, Pamela Wainman recently purchased the commercial property located next door, to accommodate her growing business.

We were delighted to hear about Pam’s success and also to be able to help make better use of the internal space by creating a contemporary stairway with stainless steel guardrail and glass panelling for a mezzanine platform.

This second floor level at Jadan Press provides a cost effective way for a business to increase the floor space. The general works for the project have included an adjoining tunnel between the current premises and the newly purchased site.

The graphic design studio has been relocated into the new side of the building. It has also provided additional office space and the raised level will be used for much-needed storage.

Pam Wainman says:

“The team at Stead Engineering designed the stairway based on our proposed brief. It has been my intention to make the new part of the building a light and inspiring place to work and I believe the glass guardrail helps to achieve this.”

“We had a number of issues when renovating the building, it is always stressful when making these changes and keeping a busy business running at the same time, but the team from Stead Engineering worked swiftly on their part of the job, they installed it without a problem and made sure they left the area very tidy.”

“As part of the works, the staircase frame needed to be widened and some new wood adding to the full length, the stairs had been newly decorated and the wood didn’t match - but the Stead team actually re-painted the wood so it matched prior to putting the bannister up … how brilliant was that for service - amazing.”

“The building is almost ready and we have started moving the team across, we will be holding an open event for people in the local business community and I would be delighted to show visitors the work that Stead have undertaken.”

Everyone at Stead Engineering wishes Pam and the team at Jadan Press well for the future and we look forward to seeing the finished premises.
