J.S Bailey - the home of handmade cheese!

Based in Cheshire, the company offers a wide range of cheeses from British to Continental varieties.

Over the last thirty-five years the company has grown from a small family business to a large commercial operation, supplying customers across the whole of the UK and Ireland.

Considerable business growth now requires expansion of the facility to enhance production and increase volume and efficiency at the site.

J.S Bailey commissioned Stead Engineering to design and manufacture 4 food grade conveyors, as we understand the complex sanitation requirements within the food processing industry.

The construction of the equipment is made from stainless steel which can tolerate hot jet spraying and steam cleaning, that is required within food factories to maintain a sterile environment for a bacteria free zone. The cheese belt has been made from non-absorbent, durable rubber material which is oil-resistant to guarantee its lifespan and the belt sections are spaced at a specified distance to manage the cheese blocks processed at J.S Bailey’s site. This can also be arranged for bulk cheese processing, shredding and cubing.

Our food grade conveyors are perfect for food products used for human consumption. The components we use to construct the conveyor is suitable for processing raw food items including; meat and fish, also cheese, confectionary, bakery items, fruit and vegetables as well as pre-packed items.

Wayne Bebbington from J.S Bailey says:

“We are been very pleased with the service we received from Stead Engineering. We found them via the Internet and when they came to visit our facility the team knew exactly what we needed and was able to make suitable recommendations to help us better distribute our cheeses throughout the factory.”

“I would recommend Stead Engineering to all food factories and manufacturers of any type to design, build and install new conveyors systems.”
